Papers include a letter, 1775, from Izard to Arthur Lee describing affairs in the colonies and Sir James Wright, governor of Georgia; a letter concerning payment of a debt of his son, George Izard; and a testimonial letter of Governor William Moultrie and two certificates proving that Izard was a member of the South Carolina legislature at the time his property was sold during the American Revolution as British property.
